The forerunner of a great many instruments, including the guitar. Like that instrument they can be very sophisticated using finely crafted natural products or fashioned from available discarded modern materials.

This calendar was put together by Associated Industries, a South African company, based on a series of African Music Instruments. This was a new challenge for Mike as he had not had any involvement with African music apart from listening to Bushmen playing their instruments.
